After our basevisit at Celle we drove towards Bückeburg to try and score some more german helicopters.Sadly no much was flying around so we drove into town to find the helicoptermuseum. The museum is in the centre of town of Bückeburg. The museum has a wide variety of civil and military helicopters.
Most helicopters have something to do with german history. Also various prototypes of helicopters are present. A lot of the foreign helicopters have their origin in units that flew in Germany after the second World War when the Iron Curtain was erected between east and west.
The museum itself is in need of space to give its collection the room it deserves to display the helicopters in the right way. Present situation is that the airframes are cramped together and picturetaking is almost impossible.
